About the Position

The Assistant Athletic Director will support the day-to-day operations of the Middle and High School Athletics programs. As the support administrator for the school’s athletic programs, the position assists the Athletic Director with running a program that is consistent with the school’s mission, policies, standards, and values.

The Assistant Athletic Director is expected to teach one lab studies day course and be a high school advisor.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Coaching experience

  • Athletic Administration experience preferred

  • Possess a broad knowledge of many sports.

  • Knowledge of the overall operations of an athletic program.

  • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines

  • High level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Flexibility, sense of humor, and willingness to assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced team environment

  • High regard for confidentiality 

  • Demonstrated commitment and experience working in a diverse, multicultural school community  

     

    Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operation of Middle School and High School Athletics

  • Assist in the hiring and training of the middle school and high school coaching staff

  • Assist in the evaluation of Coaches

  • Management of GraceNet athletics portal: coaches, rosters and athletic schedules, and team pages.

  • Assist in score reporting for the school website and league documents

  • Assist in Scheduling and securing facility space for all Middle School and High School practices and games

  • Ensuring officials are scheduled and confirmed for all school contests.

  • Coordinate transportation for middle school and high school teams

  • Support in supervising home middle school and high school athletic contests 

  • Work with the training staff and nurses to ensure medical forms are up to date and injuries are reported and tracked                                     

  • Help coordinate AED / CPR training for coaches, along with other mandated certifications for coaches

    Compensation & Benefits

    This is a full-time faculty position, and the expected salary will be based on the faculty salary scale, ranging from $68,000–$155,040 commensurate with education, experience, and total workload. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life/disability, flexible spending accounts, generous 403(b) contributions with immediate vesting and access to $3100 in professional development funds per year, beginning in your second year of employment.

    Compensation for coaching is paid separately according to an hourly stipend rate.
