Environmental Sustainability Pillars covering the fields of activity for GCID DLS:

  • Circular Economy - Contributing to SAP's zero waste target by reducing waste directed to disposal

  • Energy Efficiency - Reducing energy consumption and switching to original renewable electricity sources, thus supporting the zero emissions goal of SAP

  • Reporting - Footprint and compliance reporting provided to internal stakeholders (e.g. for annual reporting)

  • Regulation - Comprehending the current and upcoming regulations, deriving knowledge of how they impact DC and Cloud Infrastructure, and identifying needs for implementing new processes.

  • Communications - Educating and sharing knowledge as well as supporting Sales with relevant and accurate information

What youll do:

Position title: SAP CS&D | GCID | DLS Intern (f/m/d) Program Management Office (PMO) for Environmental Sustainability

Work Area: Corporate Operations

In this position you'll:

GCIDs environmental sustainability team is seeking for support in:

PMO (Project Management Office) related activities and in the team's efforts in strategic topics such as the Net-Zero 2030 program, Circularity and Remarketing and the necessary reporting activities and collaboration with internal stakeholders but also suppliers such as Co-location and ITAD providers.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our sustainability team, gaining valuable insights into the practical aspects of sustainability reporting from GCID suppliers. You will be responsible for actively supporting various tasks related to DLS sustainability reporting in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud.

PMO-related:

  • Support project planning and execution

  • Monitor project progress and performance, creating regular status reports

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues

  • Engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support

  • Preparing and supporting meetings as well as managing follow-up activities (Meeting Minutes, Action Items)

Reporting-related:

  • Reviewing sustainability (ESG) reports and add information to provider matrix

  • Reaching out to stakeholders (e.g., GRF for info on own DC)

  • Helping to improve and adjust existing reports for co-location & ITAD reporting developing of solution designs

  • -Supporting team in the specification of new business and functional requirements (no technical knowledge required)

  • Testing new developments in SAP Datasphere and SAC, Creation of wiki content e.g. overview on terminology / definitions of KPIs

Supporting the entire DLS reporting process:

  • Checking reports (.xlsx) from providers on completeness and plausibility

  • Uploading reports to SAP Datasphere

  • -Checking quality op reports in SAP Analytics Cloud

  • Preparation of reporting content for L1 & L2 level

  • Communication with providers regarding data deviations

  • Helping to improve and adjust existing reports from co-location & ITAD reporting

Others:

  • Support the team in conducting thorough research on various sustainability topics, gathering data, analyzing trends, and identifying insights. Supporting

  • Remarketing operation: Monitoring Outbound logistics & DCE responsibilities, Documentation tracking, reporting deviations, Securing the baseline for audits and L1/L2 reporting

Who you are:

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. Were looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Educational requirements: You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences with a degree in business, Project Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. Were looking for someone who takes the initiative, perseveres, and stays curious.

  • Language requirements: English (fluently)

  • Desired skills / experience to be successful in this role:

  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented and proactive. Can do attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

  • Nice-to-have: Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
